On Saturday, Jordan and I went down to Santa Cruz to visit his mom, and ended up making a couple of pit stops on the way back.  We took the long way via beautiful Highway 1 , then eventually ended up cutting over to get home a little sooner by way of the San Mateo bridge, which is pretty nifty itself.

We got out at one of the beaches at one point with the desire to walk by the water and watch the fog roll in (you can kinda see it in the first picture) but quickly shuffled back to the car due to the craaaazy cold wind!  

Highway 1 is probably the most beautiful drive I've ever been on - going either direction!  I regret not bringing my camera, as there were so many picturesque views and moments I wish I could've caught, but taking 1 was a  spur-of-the-moment decision.  Phone cameras, while much better than they used to be, just can't cut it in some instances.  It was still lovely, though!  Going on long drives with Jordan is way up there on my list of favorite things.

I'm sure I'm not alone in missing out on awesome photo opportunities due to lack of foresight! I'm also sure that wasn't the last time we take Highway 1!
