looking forward to . . .

[source]

I think I had a crazy couple of days where I added like, 3 or 4 new, one-off outings to my calendar.  Confession:  I am a homebody.  I love being at home, I love my house, I love my roomies (holla!), my cats, my bookshelf, my computer, my NYPD Blue, my fridge, my neighborhood.  I don't drink, I don't go to many concerts/shows much at all anymore... I've basically turned into a grandma right before I hit 25.

That's totally okay with me, though, because I still love my life and the quality of the life I'm living is at an all-time high.  I'm super into it.  I feel fulfilled, even if I don't go to your club- and bar-hoppin' half-birthday bash (but thanks for the invite and the understanding, let's grab coffee soon!).

So adding things to my calendar that aren't Dungeons & Dragons night, scheduled blog posts, or bill due-dates is kind of a big deal.  Especially when it comes in quantities over 1!  Here are those things I'm looking forward to:

// 8/1/2012:  30 Days of Lists registration opens.
// 8/5/2012:  Planetfest: Mars rover Curiosity lands on Mars, viewing at Chabot Space & Science Center
// 8/9/2012:  Skillshare Photography class: 'Self-Portraiture For Non-Narcissists (But Narcissists Welcome)'

Naturally, all very geeky stuff... but all stuff I'm actually excited about!

Is your datebook brimming with events?  Or do you prefer to stay in?  Healthy balance of both, maybe?

  1. Haha, I'm the same way - I'm much more of a homebody/60-year old than a college student and I love it that way! I'll have to take a look at that photography class! (and hooray! I can't wait for #30lists!)

    1. I'm so excited for it! This will be my first time participating, but I'm definitely gonna go, as they say, "balls out." ;)
