what i made - shopping list

I live with my fiance, Jordan, and my best friend Jimmy.  We all have somewhat differing schedules (Jimmy works from home, Jordan works weekends, I work weekdays) so rarely are we all in one place at one time... and in any mood to go to the grocery store!

Jimmy suggested we get a little notepad to keep in the kitchen so we can keep a running list of things we want/need for the house.  Any time I was out and about I'd keep an eye out for one, but other than a memo pad, I didn't really see much that would do the trick.  Also, they were ugly.

So I made my own.

Nothing too elaborate... just some photoshop, a printer, some washi tape and some desk supplies (pushpins, binder clips, etc.).  I personally like the "Priority" check box, just in case it's something we're running really low on!  (I'm looking at you, Pam cooking spray.)

2 lists per page, 10 pages printed = 20 shopping lists for $0.  Success!  Seemed pointless to spend money on something I could just do myself, I guess.  I'm not the world's craftiest gal, but I can make do in a pinch.  ;)

Have you made anything neat recently?

  1. Your list turned out great! Now, like it says, it's just a matter of remembering to bring it along.

I haven't been crafting much lately. Although, I did help a friend make decorations for her wedding on Saturday night. She's getting married tomorrow!!

    1. Thanks! Yeah, it's easy to add things to the list when I'm in the kitchen, but I mean business when I leave the house and might end up forgetting these in the future! I managed to bring one along with me to Trader Joe's this weekend, though, which helped tremendously.

Aw, yay weddings! Congrats to your friend! My wedding planning (if you could call it that) just keeps shrinking and shrinking in size. I wouldn't be surprised if Jordan and I got married in jeans in the forest... I love seeing what other people come up with for theirs, though! So take pictures. :]

  2. This is really cool! I like the font you used for "shopping list". I'm usually more of a purist when it comes to type, but that one was really fun!

    1. Haha, thanks! I certainly wouldn't use that font for everything (or much else, if we're being honest) but I went for the gusto and had fun with it. :]
